Today, DTE Endurance has announced a covid19 Sponsorship package to a select number of event organisers. The effects of COVID-19 are well documented and have made it challenging for all those in the industry, with many events cancelled in 2020 or severely reduced in numbers. Whilst many are positive about 2021, it is likely we will see additional caps for the remained of the year in certain parts of the region.
CEO of DTE Endurance, James Matthews, discussed the importance of this opportunity to events in Australia’.

Indeed, DTE Endurance is the formation of a group of event organisers, participants, tech-heads, and endurance fanatics that still operate, have family or close friends that operate events right across the region, so we see the challenges on daily basis”.
The sponsorship package will be awarded from January 21 through to March 31 and can in some instances run through for the subsequent two years. The package includes a sponsorship based on event numbers and looks to support event’s organisers gain additional revenue to make up for last year’s event cancellation, lower registration numbers or circumstance that has meant a financial loss. A number of events have already taken advantage of the opportunity, however, James Matthews stated that there is still many opportunities available.
