The Team at DTE Endurance continues to grow as we support hundreds more events throughout Southeast Asia. This growth is part of a consolidated effort to ensure DTE Endurance can provide the best support possible, localised in each nation across ASIA. This support ensures that we provide the relevant technological infrastructure, language, currency, payment methods and local event operations.
As part of this investment into the region by DTE Endurance, we are very excited to bring on Rio De La Cruz to the board. Rio is a highly experienced organizer having operated major events such as RUNRIO TRILOGY, MILO MARATHON, NIKE WE RUN MNL, ASICS RELAY, NEW BALANCE POWER RUN, ADIDAS KOTR, THE COLOR RUN, NAT GEO EARTH DAY RUN, and many more. Rio, under his company RUNRIO Inc., regularly has over 250,000 participants in events each year making him the second largest independent event organiser, globally. Most Notably, Rio was part of the organiser of the world’s largest single day event of all time, ‘A run for the Pasig River’ which attracted a staggering 116,086 walkers and runners.
Rio said, “It’s with great excitement that I join the board of DTE Endurance. DTE already supports thousands of events in Oceania with the largest market share and I am excited to take this successful framework and help expand it across the ASIAN Region. The team is highly motivated, and the board has so much experience at delivering and supporting mass participation events- on a scale and consistency that I don’t believe any other company possesses in the region. Ultimately, it’s the passion and intimate understanding of events that positions us well to provide the market with the best technology and support to deliver the most memorable events possible- large or small.”
Prior to Covid19, ASIA experienced the fastest growth in mass participation events, globally, with over 100,000 events taking place. However, Covid19 which greatly impacted the events industry globally definitely left a greater and longer lasting mark on the ASIAN region. Organisers have not, in some instances, delivered an event for 3 years. However, we are finally seeing events return across the region and record numbers interested in participating again.
“This is a very exciting period. I feel very fortunate to lead a team and board that is making a real positive impact in Oceania and now ASIA. We have spent a lot of time as a team putting in the right infrastructure to ensure that we can continue to be industry leaders here and abroad. Rio’s edition just solidifies a very well rounded board who has experience at delivering some of the largest and well regarded events across 15 different regions. We have also hired some of the most amazing and knowledgeable staff throughout ASIA that ensures we can get the balance right of continuing to grow and support new events whilst providing unparalleled service to existing partners” said CEO James Matthews.
DTE endurance now supports thousands of events in 18 + nations throughout the ASIA Pacific region. It is made of Participants, tech-heads, marketeers, volunteers, and event organisers. We have walked in our clients shoes and continue to do daily.
